“You could rattle the stars," she whispered. "You could do anything, if only you dared. And deep down, you know it, too. That’s what scares you most.

SYNOPSIS: In a land without magic, where the king rules with an iron hand, an assassin is summoned to the castle. She comes not to kill the king, but to win her freedom. If she defeats twenty-three killers, thieves, and warriors in a competition, she is released from prison to serve as the king's champion. Her name is Celaena Sardothien.  The Crown Prince will provoke her. The Captain of the Guard will protect her. But something evil dwells in the castle of glass--and it's there to kill. When her competitors start dying one by one, Celaena's fight for freedom becomes a fight for survival, and a desperate quest to root out the evil before it destroys her world.

This novel gives you a sudden Game of Thrones feels at your first glimpse of its cover, but no, this is out of game of thrones caliber not even close. I am  not saying that this is a bad book but its just not Game of Thrones. Fantasy and action packed novel , Throne of Glass delivers a shivering dark and grey thingy impact to your souls mood. It is so grey that it fills your brain with rain and snow. It is that dark that you cant stop thinking about how the corridors of the castle and how it looks like even days after you finish reading the last page.

This book is read and it is a good start to a very promising series. Though the plot is dragging but not that bad , I wish it moved me a little bit faster. The action was satisfying but it could have been better. The characters are  average not that excellent. I hate Celaena though. She is so over rated and yeah stupid. I found her stupid sorry.  Yeah the main character must have been the only thing I hate about this book but other than that. This book is a good read.

I will highly recommend this book to those who loves rain and damp soil and cold feels. This is not a sunny book. Its dark, gripping and above average. I will surely read the crown of midnight.
