This morning, Kady thought breaking up with Ezra was the hardest thing she’d have to do. This afternoon, her planet was invaded. The year is 2575, and two rival megacorporations are at war over a planet that’s little more than an ice-covered speck at the edge of the universe. Too bad nobody thought to warn the people living on it. With enemy fire raining down on them, Kady and Ezra—who are barely even talking to each other—are forced to fight their way onto an evacuating fleet, with an enemy warship in hot pursuit. But their problems are just getting started. A deadly plague has broken out and is mutating, with terrifying results; the fleet's AI, which should be protecting them, may actually be their enemy; and nobody in charge will say what’s really going on. As Kady hacks into a tangled web of data to find the truth, it's clear only one person can help her bring it all to light: the ex-boyfriend she swore she'd never speak to again.

Review:
Bioweapons. Nuclear war. Robots, Artificial Intelligence. War. Hacking. Action. Violence. Purge.
All in the outer space! This book blew me away. I am writing this review minutes after I read the last page of the book. This book is literally a page-turner. My expectations before I started this book was high but this book blew those and set the bar higher!

The writing style was peculiar. It was my first time to encounter or read a book with that kind of writing style but I enjoyed it. I was really entertained and hooked right away. The writing style contributed mainly on the fact this book was so easy to read. I finished the book in less than 30 hours. The writing style was engaging; you will feel you are more immersed in the story compared to other books with the usual writing style. The writing style made my reading experience way more mind blowing. The writing style effortlessly immersed the readers to the world of the story---world building was really quick and very impressive. There were no boring or dragging pages and you will definitely find yourself ripping the book page after page. The story will be coming to you like an avalanche-- and you might need to prepare yourself with the emotions and actions that comes with it.

The characters were on point. There will be a lot of characters in the story and you will first find it very confusing with all the names and code names being fed to you all at once (plus the peculiar writing style), but you will get used to it. It will be very confusing at first (around almost 100 pages) but everything will fall into place after that. The characters were flawed and I like it. They are recognizable with the way they talk, decide on certain circumstances and react to some situations. I like the fact that they were all well thought of and was really made very expressive all through out the story. The characters connected to me and I was really entertained to them (entertained here mean , pissed, amazed and happy). My favorite character was Aidan-- he was just so cool!

The plot! Yes, that mind blowing-epic plot! I did not expect all those **** given to me by the book. The plot made the experience memorable--I was at the edge of my sit most of the time. I was so connected to the story that I sometimes overreacted on some scenes. I can't really talk about more about the plot without giving spoilers so I guess you just have to read the book to really experience its greatness.

Reading this book is a one of a kind experience. I will surely remember the things that happened in the book, the characters and the story for days or even months. I was so immersed to the world and the story that I will definitely grab a copy of the second book.

This book was like my opponent in a boxing match. I am the losing fighter as this book gave me a surprising blow after blow that I caught myself unprepared and defeated. This book was emotionally draining-- it will suck your energy page after page. But you will love it.
